SmartScreen Public Info Kiosks to Replace Pay Phones in New York City

New York City will be replacing 250 pay phones with SmartScreens, 32″ touchscreen public information kiosks. Designed by City 24/7, the kiosks will provide transit updates, info on neighborhood businesses, and public safety alerts. The pilot program is scheduled to begin in May.
