Unbeatable Rock-Paper-Scissors Robot

Researchers at the University of Tokyo have developed a rock-paper-scissors playing robot that can beat a human opponent 100% of the time (video). It works by recognizing the opponent’s hand position and shape with a high speed camera, and countering with a winning move in 1 millisecond (the cheat is not visibile to the human eye). The researchers created the robot as a demonstration of human-robot cooperation.
